Description
This setting takes the familiar words to “For the Beauty of the Earth” and joins them to an all-new melody and harmonization by Fen Frehner. While this is traditionally regarded as a Thanksgiving hymn, the new melody helps break the text out of its traditional role. This arrangement would be appropriate any time of the year.
The part-writing is simple and could be put together by an average ward choir in a small number of rehearsals. This new setting is really quite lovely and I encourage you to take a listen for yourself. The accompaniment is not difficult and can be played on either piano or harp.
