Christ Came Unto His Other Sheep (Perry)

The text of this piece is about Christ’s visit to the Americas. It’s Latter-day Saint doctrine from beginning to end. It’s refreshing and beautiful. Some of the lyrics are a tad clumsy, but I don’t even care because it is so nice to have words that teach doctrine of the restoration. Janice Kapp Perry’s music is moving. There are two versions of this piece available on lds.org. One is written in hymn format. The other is an anthem (piece arranged for choir). I highly recommend looking at this one. There’s something special there.
